  Sources continue to say that Carlos Truan will be running for Mayor in the upcoming city election. One source says new County Chair, Alex Garcia, hopes to see Democrats get more involved in the council races.Many are saying that Danny Noyola, Jr.'s SDEC run is a method for him to increase his name recognition. The real goal is for Danny Jr. to replace his uncle, Jesse Noyola, when Jesse reaches his term limit as City Councilman. However, a source in Jim Wells County reports that Oscar Soliz has picked up an endorsement from a very influential delegate there. This race is shaping up to be extremely close.Rumor has it there was a meeting this past weekend of the four County Chairs of SD 20, to discuss who will chair the delegation. Supposedly, Lupe Martinez, Jim Wells County Chair, claimed 100% unity behind Danny Jr. and a female from Hidalgo County. However, my Jim Wells source says that is incorrect. Many of them have been led to believe Latrice Sellers and Victor Garza are running for a second term. Looks like Martinez spoke too soon. Several sources also say that someone who witnessed all the rule-breaking in the SD 20 Caucus two years ago has already contacted the State Party to have an outside Parliamentarian attend this year's caucus. All sources agree that Charlie Urbina-Jones will get the majority of SD 20's votes for State Chair.Courthouse chisme says that Judge Jag was not pleased when Joe Benavides was not chosen as Executive Director of the Gonzalez Community Center. Sara Salvide was hired for the job--she has years of experience in similar positions. Now, the judge is pushing Joe B to run for Constable against Rudy Caceres, and Joe may well do it. Almost two years out, and there's already a fight brewing. Well, Democratic politics is never boring in Nueces County!Late-breaking chisme update: A source says that an assistant principal and some teachers at Miller High School have been questioned by law enforcement officers, regarding a possible misappropriation of funds.

  JAG is going to run for County Comm. when Betty Jean gets out next term. JAG has told many people that already. Joe B wants to run for anything and everything! County Chair, County Clerk, County Comm., now Constable. What he wants is a title and a paycheck. Poor guy, just because he is dating new Judge Gina Benavidez he thinks he is big S&!t. One radio talk artist this afternoon referred to then and now. He said, at one time we had vast acres of open emptiness, (with a need to be occupied) else, another country would squat and possess the land. Now it is different he says now we are full and we dont want no more immigrants coming over the river. This is the same way of natural migration (to and fro) that used to be legal. Now this same method of immigrating across the Rio Grande is illegal. The problem is the Corporate & The Country's economy will suffer if there are no "illegal" (undocumented) workers. Will the prices go up if this pool of raw labor evaporates? Prices of what? Tomatoes? Produce?? Taquitos? Chinese Food?? He speaks as if they are a nuisance as does many a hater. In the same breath the economically ignorant want to put a WALL or Minute Men and now the National Guard. The is a waste of money and injurious to our Nations Economy. This is a Politicians Game of Divide & Conquer. A nuisance? Like Pests? Like Sugar Ants maybe, as the hater whines of the multitudes of human beings crossing the river daily("illegally" ? Why do Sugar Ants migrate and eventually reach their destination? A Sugar Ant migrates to the sugar. Just like a river will always run it's course and eventually makes another path when impeded. Reason will tell the haters, the source of their troubles is not the natural plight of the ants but rather the natural sustinence of the sugar ant which is sugar. To take away the natural sustinence of the undocumented worker is to take away the opportunities that are YANQUIED by our Corporate Elite. Put every one of them in JAIL! Not the ANTS but the Sugar Providers (EMPLOYERS). Fine the crap out of them. Then we will see that we need these little people in parable;..... the ANTS.

  sources at ccisd downtown have said that a miller hs asst. principal has become a whistleblower. this ap was removed by downtown and put into another position. sources also tell me that this investigation is getting bigger and that it is on the verge of exploding. not a good way to start your first year as a principal. we should keep those kids in our prayers.

As I understand, Mr Chriss has held this UT position for some time which IMO exclaims Mr Chriss does not want any part of the corruption and is dissociating himself from the Elite Del Mar Board of Regents. I would like to think his public service will continue. Perhaps a de-throning of one of our elitist County Commisioners such as Cazalas (who even mainstream republicans loathe)? As the rumblings begin to spill out of the Board Room it should be noted that the name Jacob Munoz (a convenient token) is the Del Mar Board of Regents' most notable man for the JOB. I must ask the average citizen to think back and ask themselves WATT has Jacob Munoz done for the average citizen. WATT has he done for the hispanic community?Now back to Carlos Garcia; I know his position is to defend the institution of higher learning and I know of his scoffing, condescending and demeaning acts of playing dumb. This is insignifigant when compared to the aggressive campaigns directed at the victims who meet with him in the privacy of his office. Everytime some students try to speak up, they are either suspended or kicked out of school without any dueprocess. Joe B Is an Educator is he not?I remember the integrity of the Del Mar Board of Regents when Dr Edgar Cortes and his wife were there. Also, the integrity of Dr Howard Barth is a great memory.Who can resist the power and ability to take candy from young women students abusing the influence of the Elite position?Maybe we need some strong women like Susie Saldana and Josie Suarez?Maybe we need a transparently operated board system?I would like to see Rev Bob Jones and maybe someone like Angelica Hernandez?As for Joe B, & Joe Flores, I would like to see them on the CCISD School Board as well as Shamsie. I think Shamsie would be an excellent choice for Del Mar & CCISD.Also, Joe B has painly stated his intentions of a second career in public service. He has also said many a time that his intentions are to be a statesman and not a politician. Maybe some believe he is a little too much into himself.
