Zamora says his 25 years practicing law in the area makes him qualified for the bench responsibilities.
"I've handled a wide variety of cases because of the nature of the practice I've engaged in, which has included civil and criminal law," he said.
Zamora has practiced in both federal and district courts and has argued appeals in state and federal courts. He has operated the Law Office of Robert Zamora since 1982.
Zamora is a Miller High School and Del Mar College graduate. He earned a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Texas in 1975 and a law degree from the University of Texas in 1978.
The 319th District Court judge receives a $125,000 salary. The party primaries will be March 7, and the general election is Nov. 7, 2006.
